NuiNui Animals and Time. In this book Fleur and Léo, two very curious “city children”, set out to discover the mysteries of animal life with the help of their grandmother, a woman full of surprises! This journey will deeply change their view of nature and its rhythms. The two little protagonists, Léo and Fleur, love wild animals and visit their grandmother in the countryside who, when she was young, was an explorer. “Observing nature requires patience and a lot, a lot of time,” says the grandmother. “But how does time work for animals?” wonder the children. Grandmother shares a secret with them: time flows differently for different animal species. The grandmother therefore guides the children through nature’s expanded times, following the seasons and life cycles, pregnancy, growth and hibernation.
